Dutch Delight as Comvalius Signs for Geylang International Football Club
Geylang International Football Club (GIFC) is delighted to confirm the arrival of Sylvano Comvalius from the Netherlands as it readies itself for the upcoming
AIA Singapore Premier League season and AFC Cup, where it is making its return to the continental stage after 11 years.
The towering striker came through the ranks of the Ajax youth system and started to ply his trade globally when he was 20. Comvalius, who stands at 1.92cm, won the Maltese Premier league with Birkirkara FC in 2010 before he took his footballing exploits to Scotland, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, China, Germany, Ukraine, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
The 33-year-old, father of three, was voted as the best foreign player in Indonesia in 2017 where he helped Bali United qualify for the AFC Champions League. He also holds the proud record of being the top scorer of all time in Indonesia where he scored 37 goals in 34 games.
Comvalius said: “I’m very excited to join Geylang International, a club with such an amazing history. I have the same ambition as the club where we will work hard together to make it one of the most successful football clubs in Asia.”
