Khair takes on General Manager role

Geylang International is delighted to announce the appointment of Khair Rizauddin as the club’s new General Manager.

Khair joins from the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), where he served in the General Secretary’s Office as Senior Executive for Strategy and Development since August 2021.

Khair’s career with the national body began in March 2017 when he was involved in the Junior Centre of Excellence (JCOE) coaching set-up. A year later, he transitioned into an administrative role as the executive of FAS’ Competitions Department.

Khair played a significant role in organising local and official international tournaments, including the 2022 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers and AFC Cup.

During this period, he also completed the FIFA Master – International Master in Management, Law, and Humanities of Sport program offered by the International Centre for Sports Studies in 2021.

Khair had played competitive football at the academy level for Home United (now Lion City Sailors) for eight years.

He attended Nanyang Technological University, where he graduated with a degree in Sports Science and Management.

Additionally, Khair holds various qualifications from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), including its ‘C’ Coaching Diploma and Local General Coordinator certification.
