Eagles return to action in July

Geylang International will take on Balestier Khalsa at Our Tampines Hub (OTH) on July 25 in its first Singapore Premier League fixture since the league went into an international break on May 23.

They will head to Jurong East stadium next where an away fixture against Tanjong Pagar United awaits. The Eagles beat the Jaguars 2-1 in their season opener at OTH and will be looking to clinch a double over them when they clash again on August 1.

The Eagles will renew their Eastern derby rivalry against Tampines Rovers on August 8 before entertaining Tanjong Pagar United at OTH again on August 14. They will then look for their first win against Hougang United this season when they the Cheetahs at Hougang Stadium on August 21.

A clash with Young Lions gets underway on August 28 where the Eagles will be looking to extend their unbeaten run against Philippe Aw’s young charges. Three matches will take place in September with the first fixture against the White Swans at Jurong East Stadium on September 11, followed by Balestier Khalsa and Lion City Sailors on September 19 and 26 respectively.

The Eagles will end their 2021 season against Tampines Rover at OTH on October 2.

Given the later completion date of the League, the Singapore Cup 2021 will be cancelled to ensure the Singapore Under-22s and the Lions can adequately prepare for their respective competitions, including the AFC Under-23 Asian Cup 2022 Qualifiers, 2021 Southeast Asian Games and ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup.
