Being a professional football club, Geylang United has never once ignored the importance of community outreach.
Showing support for the Singapore Heart Foundation’s cause in spreading awareness about heart health, the Eagles participated in the launch of the World Heart Day on 24 September at Toa Payoh Hub.
At the event, Eagles players Yazid Yasin, Hafiz Rahim, Syed Fadhil, Yuta Nakano and Jeon Byung Euk took turns to show off their skills before SHF Ambassador Nick Shen invited the crowd up to participate in the football juggling game.
Lotto sponsored footballs were given away together with Geylang United’s ‘Heritage’ Tee to the crowd who came onto the stage.
“Geylang United Football Club has always been an advocate of community event, and the World Heart Day is one of them.
We are proud to be able to participate in such meaningful and purposeful event and it was a pleasure to be able to collaborate with the SHF to spread the awareness of Heart Diseases and the ability to prevent it.
We look forward to future collaboration with the SHF,” commented Eagles General Manager Mr. Lim Tong Hai.
