We got to be better in keeping possession

“We got to be better in keeping possession,” said Geylang United Head Coach, Mike Wong. There is another five more days to the long awaited home fixture and Mike insist that the team will not make much changes in the way they approach the game.
“We had our fair share of opportunities in the last two games. We have worked on transitional play which I feel we got to be better in keeping possession of the ball,” Mike commented. Mike is hopeful that the new Korean forward, Mun Sung Man, will be able to feature for this Sunday’s game. “Hopefully he can convert the many chances we had always created into goals.”
Mike also hopes that midfield anchorman Zul Elhan Fahmi will be able to recover from his injury in time.
The coach also paid tribute to the Ultras Eagles for their support.
“The players and officials really appreciate the fantastic support we had from the Ultras Eagles. Seeing them cheering the team in the last game touches me. I believe that was the first time I felt a group was behind us through ups and downs. I really hope we can bring more joy by securing some results soon as they deserve more for their spirit and undying support.”
