Although Siddiq Durimi had featured in the Geylang International side as an outfield player earlier in the season, he made his first start between the sticks for Jorg Steinebrunner in the Eagles’ 5-1 win over Woodlands Wellington in the preliminary round Singapore Cup tie.

Speaking to EAGLES TV post match, he said: “I was waiting for this moment, for the chance to show what I have.” A thumping win was a result that pleased Siddiq, who was unfortunate to concede through a penalty on the night. He continued: “It was great, everything went right for me.”
