Project Heart 2012 – Shape a heart day!
By Eagles Admin on 21 May 2012
Last Saturday morning, while many of you were probably still laying in bed, the players of GUFC has got up early to take part in Project Heart 2012 – Shape a heart day at Pasir Ris Sports and Recreation Center hosted by the Singapore Heart Foundation!
During the event, goalkeeper, Ridhuan Barudin and midlfielder, Shah Hirul both participated in the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) programme taught by the instructors from Singapore Heart Foundation. We were also greeted by Minister of State at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Mr Teo Ser Luck! Thomas, our sports trainer and Douglas from our management committee also managed to get a picture with him!
As the morning passed, we also got to witness a national record being broken after the Singapore Heart Foundation unveiled the largest ever heart formation made of paper crafts!
After the event at the hall ended, members of the public got the opportunity to pit their soccer skills against GUFC’s very own S-league players at the street soccer court. Very much to our surprise, some of them do play really well!
It was really a fun-filled afternoon for all the GUFC’s players and it was especially satisfying to see the smiles on the faces of our players after the disappointing loss the night before.
Lastly, we also want to give a shout Singapore Heart Foundation for the hugely successful event! Good job guys!
