Post Match Interview with Captain Ridhuan Muhammad
By Andrew Ang on 17 May 2014
He could have netted his third goal of the season but Captain Marvel, Ridhuan Muhammad will have to wait another week at least as he was denied by stupendous opposition goalkeeping and by the woodwork. The former Singapore National Team winger was up to his usual flash-like runs on the flank as he tormented the Warriors fullback with his sheer speed. The winger also produced two stunning volleys from outside the box, one tipped over by an outstretched Hassan Sunny and the other cannoning off the post. The pacy Ridhuan also had a good effort saved well by Hassan after he drove past two Warriors players and shot at goal.
Speaking to EaglesTV after the game, Ridhuan felt the score line did not reflect how the match panned out. He said: “I think it was a balanced game. We let in a soft goal but we tried to come back in the second half.”
Ridhuan also admitted his frustration to see shot after shot being saved by Hassan. He lamented: “Yes, it was frustrating. We were trying to get a goal back but we kept hitting the post or it was saved by Hassan.”
Ridhuan, though remained upbeat about his team’s progress. Looking ahead, he added: “”Although it was a disappointing result tonight, I think we still keep our heads up. It’s still a long way to go in the season and we are looking forward to the next few matches.”
