Past Matches: Rams VS Eagles

- Mubarak Ahamad and Jalal now teammates in Geylang United
The last time the Eagles had lost a game at Woodlands was in the round two of the S.League in 2006, where they lost 4-1 to the Rams. Since then, the Eagles have always managed to secure at least a point at Woodlands Stadium. Both teams met in this year’s pre-season friendly match at Bedok Stadium, where the Rams scored a narrow 1-2 win.
The most recent lost to the Rams was a 0-1 loss at Bedok Stadium. In the most recent encounter at Woodlands Stadium, the Eagles grabbed three points by bouncing back from a goal down, courtesy of goals from Shah Hirul and former striker Nakano Yuta.
This Sunday, the Eagles will travel up north for their opening fixture of the season against the Rams.
With former defender Daniel Hammond now a skipper at Woodlands Wellington, Mike believes that they are more organized this season.
Eagles will probably look to in-form striker Rizawan Abdullah for the goals, with Ang Zhiwei, Faizal Samad and Jalal providing width for the squad.
