Kanan: The boys played well as a team
By Eagles Admin on 24 March 2012
The boys played very well as a team, and is a complete changed team.
We didn’t need the third goal to kill the game. We just wanted to be patient and disciplined. We know they will come at us and play the long ball, so we did.
The goal came in before Syed Thaha got sent off, so I don’t think the one man advantage would have made any difference. Most importantly, we had a game plan and the boys followed it.
For Geylang United, we have been one of the top teams in the S.League for the past few years, and being bottom is an unfamiliar position for the club. These three points will lift us up and from here we will get our points.
The next game against Tanjong Pagar won’t be easy. But we will definitely work much harder and climb the table slowly.
