Jorg praises players despite Hougang defeat

Jorg Steinebrunner praised his players despite a 2-0 defeat against Hougang United this evening.
The Eagles had a lot of ball possession, more chances at goal but couldn’t find the target.
“I think the boys played a decent game overall, much better than against Harimau Muda. We had a lot of ball possession. Defensively we didn’t give much away. Before their second goal, we even had a great chance to equalise when Mustaqim went one-on-one with the goalkeeper,” he told Eagles TV.
“In the second half, we changed our formation from 4-1-4-1 to 4-1-3-2 and it pays dividends. We were more lively upfront and there are players around Leonel Felice, supporting him. We gave problems to Hougang United’s defence.
“Unfortunately, despite creating so many chances, we couldn’t find the back of the net, which cost us the game,” he added.
“But credit to my players who fought hard, played good football, acquired more ball possession and had more clear-cut chances than the home team.”
