Eagles lose Home advantage

Michael King scores his first goal for the Eagles in the first home game of the year in a 1-7 defeat at the hands of Home United.
The Eagles were without first choice defender Shahril ‘Batu’ Alias and first choice forward Rizawan Abdullah, and it proved to be a huge impact for the Eagles.
A first half hat trick by Home United forward Shotaro Ihata contributed to the four goal lead for the visitors before the half.
Michael King pulled a consolation goal back for the Eagles in the 68th minute through a brilliant individual effort, beating several defenders before slotting the ball past Lionel Lewis.
Captain Yazid Yasin was again the man of the night, pulling saves after saves. Hard running Jozef Kaplan almost got on the score sheet in the 64th minute with another close effort.
