Geylang International FC received a boost this week as hard-tackling midfielder Fabian Kwok returned to training after recovering from a knee injury and a bike accident.
Speaking to the Geylang International media team, Fabian said: “I have been out for almost two months, first with an injured knee. According to the doctor, my left knee was overworked and there was muscle imbalance. Then, I got into an unfortunate bike accident which delayed my comeback.”
With the team gaining momentum with a victory and a draw in the last two games, Fabian is determined and confident that he will come back stronger than ever and continue the impressive pre-season form before he became injured.
“I have to be patient because I don’t want to take a big risk with my knee. But I really hope to be back on the pitch sooner rather than later and contribute as much as I can to the team. We have a squad full of potential and I believe we can better last year’s standing and results.”
